Environment and health are incidental reasons. First and foremost is the ethical issues of eating meat. The modern mass industrial/capitalistic system we have (in the “West” primarily) is especially horrific with its inhumane and non-respectful treatment of the animals, nature and Mother Earth. It’s barbaric, it’s disgusting, it’s shortsighted.
