i live in NYC so, yes, there are numerous vegan restaurants. Not as many as there should be for such a big city, IMHO, though. There are lots and lots of restaurants with vegan options, often only one or two on the menu, and they vary in appeal and quality, but it's a lot better than 25-30 years ago.
Super spoiled out here in Portland, OR and I love it. Probably one of the most vegan friendly cities in the country 🙂. As long as it’s not like a steak house, I never have to worry about vegan options being available. And we have tons of dedicated vegan restaurants and food carts too.
I live in Pittsburgh. We don't have vegan restaurants persay. But, many places to have vegan options and there are vegan food trucks who pop up around the city for events, etc.
